I started watching the show when it first aired in the U.S. in around 2001, I was probably nine. I thought it was so intense, haha, I can remember sitting up late at night watching all the dramatics involved in the show unfold. But ever since J.T. Yorke died and they combined Degrassi and the other high school.... It's been completely and utterly vapid. I can't watch it anymore, they overdo everything. The new cast is ridiculous, some of the actors simply can't act. I'm really disappointed in the N network for ending an awesome series like Instant Star and keeping a show that has honestly been around for too long. They have nothing left to do, end the show, play reruns!
Also, I found a show on Showtime that I really enjoy, Dexter. It's perverse, gritty, going where no show has gone before. The "hero" is the killer. I love it, check it out. They were showing the first season on one of the major networks like CBS, NBC, something like that. And the second season is on the On Demand channel for those of you who have Time Warner.
